Air India
The Genesis:
Air India finds its origins way back to October 15, 1932. Two men, whose pioneering efforts lead to the prompt start of the Air India, are JRD Tata and Neville Vincent. The former, the founder who flew a single engine flight carrying air mail from Karachi to Bombay (now Mumbai) and the latter, a Royal Air force pilot who steered this first ever aircraft until Madras(now Chennai). The transformation from Tata Airlines to Air India took place in the year 1948 when the Indian Government acquired majority stakes in the company. This year, Air India made significant progress as it was the approved the standing to operate International services as a registered company of India under the name Air India International.
