Best Time to Visit: October to February during the winter season when the weather is nippy but pleasant; start of March is a good time to visit too, when it starts to get warm but isn't terribly hot.

Clothing: If you are visiting during summer, carry only light cotton clothes if you want a pleasant holiday. During winter, carry along a few woollen clothes or light jackets as the temperature can drop a little.

Moving around: Moving within Cochin is inexpensive and easy. There are privately owned as well as state-run bus services in the city. Rickshaws and taxis are available frequently on hire throughout the city.
